Coffee General..........Its a shore thing!

Back in July my New York Fluffynotsofluffy Corespondent Izzy was out in New Zealand. He gave me the lead on this place! His Mom would probably say it was her lead but we kids know whats up too!
Located in my mamma's old stomping grounds in Birkenhead on Hinemoa Street this little cafe did great fluffys.
My mamma was buzzing out as we walked in they were playing "ninjasonik" (a group from where she used to live in Bushwick in Brooklyn). Pretty funny that a New Yorker recommended this place and that they were playing a Brooklyn underground band when we walked in.
Anyway onto the important stuff...... The Fluffy stuff.
Firstly I need to point out a few things!

  1. The communal table. It was a great space to place Sprocket (My Dog and best friend) on the table so i could see him. Don't call the health department just yet he's not a real dog silly! There was a lovely lady sitting opposite us who was gushing at how cute I was. Little does she know I'm a little ratbag!
  2. The walls are adorned in cool paintings (No photographic evidence provided here you will have to go see for your self!).
  3. There are lots of Sciency looking glass thing on the shelves. My mamma referred to them as Hipster coffee kits. Luckily they are out of reach!
The Fluffy.......
 Good amount of Chocolate Sprinkles
Fluffy enough to stay on the spoon!
 Going back for More!

Not too hot to drink the Dregs!

Pretty good all round, Mamma said the coffee was good too! This is good as she will bring me back!
You can check them out online here Coffee General

Nothing goes better with fluffys than "Randon Acts of Baking"........

My amazingly talented Aunty Pingu aka Inga Boyd is currently embarking on a month of "Giftism" She is baking and gifting it to people on her train ride into Wellington each Morning! Such a great idea. She's kind of like the December Baking Fairy. Follow her journey each day as she "Promotes Joy through sharing baking with strangers" http://giftism.wordpress.com/
The best thing about baking is licking the spatula. If only i lived in Wellington!!!

oooops life moves pretty fast sometimes.

Hello Fluffy seekers

Time seems to move so crazily fast when you are young and restless. I have been indulging in many a fluffy but have not been posting on my blog. My mamma has had another baby. Yes that is right I'm a big Sister to my little brother Lucien.
Life out and about on the town has slowed down as we adjust to having a new member of the family. But never fear i have been taking photos of fluffy's over the past year and will now put finger to keyboard and share some reviews and re-reviews of where Ive been.
I know that's what i said in my last post but I'm serious this time.

Im .........back!

Hello fellow fluffy not so fluffy readers. I'm back after a huge hiatus! Happy New Year may it be filled with fluffy's and marshmallows galore. I'm 17 months old now and getting into all kinds of mischief. Looking back through my photos I was reminded that there are many review photos that have not made it to the blog. This is all about to change. Enough blah blah blah lets get onto the important stuff....... Fluffy goodness. There will even be a few non fluffy reviews as i have stumbled across a few summery treats you need to be in the loop about too. xx Ella

First Fluffy, First Birthday

Its official this blogger can now get into some serious fluffy reviewing. I'm One now so now I can drink cows milk! On Friday I went to my favourite place for my very first fluffy. MMMMMMMMMMillers. There was only ever going to be one person to make me my very first fluffy, my Uncle Jayren. The waiting was finally over.
Mamma and Dadda set up my flat pack highchair (This alone needs its own review). Uncle Jayren delivered the goodness and it was on!
 Yum!
Mamma why doesn't your milkies come with chocolate sprinkles!
There's more than just chocolate sprinkles in there uncle Jayren does a 50/50 mix of chocolate and cocoa
I'm in a state of fluffy Euphoria

Keep it coming dadda!

MMM it was so worth the wait even though it means I am going to have to go back to all the cafes Ive reviewed to give you the fluffy lowdown.
Happy Birthday ..... indeed it was!

Tiny Thrills........... Yes Please!

My friend Haeata & her Mum have one of the coolest blogs out its called Tiny Thrills. Its the best Gig guide for cool parents and their kids. Now we may not quite realise the lifestyle our parents used to live before we completed/fully changed their lives. They used to go out and see amazing music and films and generally have a pretty choice time! Parenthood doesn't need to completely strip them of these things and Tiny Thrills provides an insight into how to still do the kind of things they used to but now with us in tow!Rebekah & Haeata seek out whats happening so your parents can be in the know too when they are feeling out of the loop.

Alleluya

In the weekend when in need of some Millers its all good as there a place in our hood called Alleluya!
Its a K'Road (Karanagahape Road) Institution. Hidden away in St Kevins Arcade you will find Great food, Millers coffee and the staff are amazing. Not to mention its inside, sunny and warm on those winter days.
We wandered up for breakfast last Sunday. Well I took a ride in my pushchair but you catch my drift.
However I should mention I am fully walking now! 3 weeks in and its a whole new world!
There is lots to look at in this place! Let me point a few things out for you.
Firstly check out this cool high chair!

These great chairs and tables, patterns on the ceiling and the sunlight streaming in and the plants!

We were here for breakfast so you may as well take a peep at the Menu.
Dadda has the Eggs Benne with spinach and Mamma the K'Road Breakfast and I seagulled in on both.
I ate scrambled eggs, toast, mushrooms and Potato washed back with some delicious feijoa juice!
It was all so good. The olds both had coffee.
This place really is a treasure trove of beauty.

Peter who owns and runs it is so lovely he always takes time to stop and smile and see how I have grown.
Oooopsy almost forgot to show you the goodie cabinet!
Alleluya is one of my favourite places to go. Im sure I will be coming here for many many years!
Thanks for creating such an amazing place Peter!
